MEME HOTEL TOKYO · FAQ
Questions families and groups ask before booking.
Villa & rooms
14 questionsWill we have the whole house to ourselves?
Yes. One confirmed group has exclusive use of the entire three-story MEME Hotel Tokyo property.
The five bedrooms, food-preparation area, washbasins, showers and toilets are not shared with another group.
Link to this answerCan 8, 9 or 10 guests stay comfortably, and how can we divide the bedrooms?
MEME Hotel accommodates up to 10 registered guests in five separate bedrooms with doors that close. There are eight beds: two queen beds, approximately 170 cm wide, and six single beds, approximately 100 cm wide.
Room 101 has one queen bed on the ground floor. Rooms 201 and 202 have two single beds and one queen bed on the second floor. Rooms 301 and 302 have four single beds on the third floor. This lets couples, families and individual sleepers choose a practical room arrangement without using the living room as a bedroom.
Link to this answerWhy choose one private villa instead of four or five Tokyo hotel rooms?
A family or group of 8–10 can stay together under one roof while using five closable bedrooms, shared dining space and three independent sets of washbasins, toilets and shower rooms.
It is not a central-city hotel experience: there is no staffed front desk or elevator, and central Tokyo requires a train journey. Compare the total for your exact dates and guest count on the booking platform rather than comparing the villa with the price of one hotel room.
Link to this answerHow do up to 10 guests manage showers, toilets and washbasins in the morning?
MEME Hotel has three independent washbasins, three separate toilets and three separate shower rooms — one complete set on every floor.
Each facility is reached from a shared hallway without passing through a bedroom. Several guests can brush their teeth, use a toilet and shower at the same time, which helps reduce the morning queue for families and groups of up to 10. Hot water is available 24 hours.
Link to this answerIs there a kitchenette, and can we cook?
Yes. The kitchenette is for storing food, making drinks and reheating meals; it does not provide full cooking facilities, and the gas stove cannot be used.
You may use the refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle and countertop oven.
Link to this answerWhat is provided in the kitchenette?
It includes plates, bowls, disposable cups, chopsticks, forks, spoons and salt.
A refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave, electric kettle and countertop oven are available. Dishwashing liquid is provided; ask before arrival if your group needs another specific item.
Link to this answerWhat towels, toiletries and personal items are provided?
Each registered guest receives one bath towel and one face towel. Shampoo, body soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided.
Hair dryers, slippers, an iron and ironing board are available.
Link to this answerCan we wash and dry clothes during a longer stay?
Yes. The villa has a washer-dryer with automatic detergent dispensing, fabric softener and clothes-drying racks.
Use additional cycles when needed. To keep the shared residential electricity stable, run the washer-dryer separately from the brief periods when every air conditioner and several hair dryers are operating.
Link to this answerCan we use all high-power appliances at once?
The house has a shared residential electrical supply. Normal use is fine, but please avoid running the washer-dryer, several hair dryers and every air conditioner at exactly the same time.
Staggering only the highest-power appliances helps keep the electricity reliable for everyone in your group.
If the breaker trips, turn those appliances off. The system may restart automatically once, but after a second consecutive trip it may not reset automatically and could cause a prolonged outage. Please contact us through your booking platform.
Link to this answerWhy do the air conditioners turn off at 10:00 each morning?
The air conditioners automatically turn off at 10:00 each morning to reduce unnecessary energy use.
If you are staying inside or still need cooling or heating, you may turn them back on immediately and use them as usual.
Link to this answerDoes MEME Hotel Tokyo have Wi-Fi, and how fast is it?
Yes. The property has a 10 Gbps fiber internet connection with Wi-Fi throughout the house. The 10 Gbps figure is the connection specification, not a guaranteed speed for each device; actual Wi-Fi speed varies by device, location, network conditions and simultaneous use. The service is fixed inside the property and is not portable.
Link to this answerIs the tap water safe to drink?
Yes. Tap water at MEME Hotel is safe to drink.
If a tap has not been used for some time, let the water run briefly first.
Link to this answerCan an older relative use Room 101 without climbing the internal stairs?
Room 101 is on the ground floor, close to the dining area and the ground-floor washbasin, toilet and shower room. It can reduce the need to move between floors after entering.
However, MEME Hotel is not step-free and has no elevator. The other four bedrooms are upstairs, and large or heavy suitcases must be carried on the internal stairs. Contact us before booking if anyone in your group has limited mobility.
Link to this answerWhich rooms have access to the balconies?
The 2 private balconies are accessed through Room 202 on the second floor and Room 302 on the third floor.

Link to this answerDoes every guest need to complete pre-check-in?
